"La Famiglia Cerra" Family Reunion

We had the pleasure of hosting the Cerra Family Reunion aka “La Famiglia Cerra Reunion” and boy do these folks know how to throw a party! Folks from 7 different states gathered here at our hotel in Vero for food, fun, and quality time with their nearest and dearest.

According to Jackie, one of the organizers of the event, the Cerras have reunited annually for the last 60 years! Traditionally held in Pittsburgh, Jackie said this year’s location change was spurred by a desire to gather outdoors and to include Floridian family members that weren’t able to make it to Pittsburgh in the years prior.

Tom, Jackie and Charlette were the masterminds behind this fun-filled weekend.

This was the mantra of the reunion, meant to capture the essence of the event.

Jackie noted that the pool got a lot of use over the warm, breezy September weekend. The upper deck was adorned with the stars and stripes and the family dedicated a portion of the event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The family made brilliant use of the garden, setting up a large tent complete with an inflatable projector!

Trivia was a smashing success!

All fun n’ games with the Egg Toss! We love a throwback to Field Day.

Meals were catered by local favorites Wild Thyme and 14 Bones. Our onsite grill got put to good use for a family cookout, too!

The inflatable projector screen played video presentations like the family talent show, as well as a family history slideshow. It was heaven-sent for the sports fans of the family, who watched the weekend’s big games on the ample screen.

These tech-savvy kids were the MVPs of the weekend, putting their heads together to make sure the projector worked properly.
